DESCRIPTION:New Hope’s Trafficking Intervention Training seeks to provide more in depth knowledge about trafficking in general and the state of need of services here in the US.  We’ll discuss topics such as: \n\nHow trafficking is happening and factors that put our kids at risk\nWhat the environment of the trafficking victim is like and the challenges it creates for her to heal\nThe effects of psychological trauma\, it’s effect on behavior\, and the challenges it creates for the victim\nCharacteristics and behavior that could help you spot a trafficking situation\nStrategies for intervention\nSelf care for persons who are trying to help\nNew Hope and our work\nIdeas for ways to get involved in combating this issue\nAnd more.\n\nThis all day class is an excellent first step if you feel yourself being led to intervene in this injustice.  We will discuss New Hope’s work as well as other critical needs locally and opportunities for impact. \nClass will be in the conference room at River Valley Realty\, 800 E Main St in Russellville (behind State Farm Insurance and Fast Glass).  Cost is $10.00.  Complimentary snacks and lunch are included.  More information can be obtained by emailing info@newhopeyouth.org or by calling 501-777-5955.  We hope to see you there! \nAre you ready to register for the training?\nRegistration is hugely important so that we can ensure we have plenty of food and training materials prepared.  This link allows you to RSVP\, no payment information is required.  If you’re ready to register now\, just click here!

DESCRIPTION:  Volunteer Training ~ Feb 22nd\, 2020\n \nYouth who have survived trafficking are in our immediate area.  Their healing can be a challenging journey; they need a community to come alongside them.  If you’ve felt led to be part of that community of support\, this is the training for you! \nThere are multiple opportunities to serve through mentoring and tutoring\, helping their foster families to thrive\, assisting New Hope behind the scenes\, or using your skills & hobbies to provide fun and restorative activities for the youth.  Your unique passion and talents can make an impact! \nThis training is recommended for all volunteers serving with New Hope\, but it is required for all positions that work directly with the youth. \nOur next training is on February 22nd from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm at River Valley Realty at 800 East Main in Russellville\, AR (behind Craig Campbell State Farm and Fast Glass).  Click HERE for a map link.  Training is $5.00 and lunch and snacks will be provided; all you will need are items to take notes. \nPLEASE REGISTER WITH THE FORM BELOW so we can be sure to have plenty of food and materials ready on training day.  Thanks so much!
