Advocacy Training – Fayetteville

November 18, 2016 @ 5:45 pm - 8:45 pm

$30

Day 1 of Training.  These trainings are conducted by our really great friends at PATH and include sessions with instructors from New Hope!  Registration begins at 5:45 Friday night.

This training is a solid look at what human trafficking really is, with a focus on sex trafficking.  It’s going on every day, in places close to you.  It’s not just in seedy motels or strip clubs, it’s in truck stops, restaurants, and even on your own computers and those of your kids.  It’s everywhere, but you can learn how to join the fight.

As a participant, you will learn about traffickers and purchasers, to more fully understand what goes on in the life and mind of a victim. The focus then shifts toward how to spot a victim, how to intervene, understanding the effects of psychological trauma on the brain, and preparation for serving survivors.

Whether  you are considering working directly with survivors, becoming involved with Outreach or Community Awareness, or just want to know more about human trafficking, this is the place.

$30 fee covers both days.  $20 for students (with current ID)
